Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) will expand and upgrade Bharti Airtel’s, India’s number one telecom services provider, 2.5 G network by 50 per cent across circles, under a $700-million GSM network contract signed between the companies. The contract includes network planning, implementation and project management, handling of local logistics and materials, and system integration for the base transceiver stations.

Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) has shifted its Research & Development (R&D) facility to a new location in Bengaluru, which will now host one of the company’s three remote testing laboratories. The shift to the new facility is with the intention of strengthening its R&D presence in the country.
