Network services provider GTL Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 58.82 crore for third quarter ended December 31, 2009, an 85.90 per cent rise from Rs 31.64 crores recorded during the corresponding quarter of previous financial year.

GTL Infrastructure Ltd has scheduled its board to take on account its third quarter results (quarter ended December 31, 2009) to January 28, 2010.

GTL Infrastructure Ltd has acquired Aircel’s passive infrastructure (towers) for around $1.8 billion (Rs 8,160 crore), a move that will help it emerge as the largest independent tower firm.
GTL Infrastructure Ltd is to acquiring Aircel’s tower business under a deal worth $1.8 billion (Rs 8,160 crore), according to reports in a section of the press. GTL, backed by a $1.2-billion (Rs 5,440 crore) loan from State Bank of India (SBI), has clinched the transaction.
Network services provider GTL has posted an 8.05 per cent rise in net profit of Rs 34.09 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2009, compared with Rs 31.55 crore registered for the same period a year ago.
GTL Infrastructure Limited, a shared passive infrastructure company, has posted a net loss of Rs 37.87 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2009, compared with a net profit of Rs 14.49 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2008.
