Nokia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ITC to offer personalised agri services on the Nokia Life Tools, a move aimed at enhancing the potential for sustainable livelihood creation and improving the quality of life of rural households.
Finnish handset manufacturer Nokia’s flagship N900 phone will be launched only by November, a month’s delay from the original date in October, according to reports in international media. According to Nokia, the delay is because the company is awaiting feedback from developers on the product.
Nokia has opened its first Care Experience Centre in Mumbai. At the Nokia Care Experience Centre, consumers can experience and receive support for Nokia’s latest services and applications such as music, messaging, maps and games.
Finnish handset manufacturer Nokia has signed a five-year frame agreement with mobile payments and license management service provider Tanla Solutions Limited. The deal covers license management, mobile payments and related professional services.
Finland-based mobile handset manufacturer Nokia has reshuffled its executive team. The company has appointed Rick Simonson, presently Chief Financial Officer (CFO), as head of Mobile Phones business, and Timo Ihamuotila as CFO.
Driven by increasing competition in the smart phone market, mainly from Canada-based Research In Motion (RIM), global handset major Nokia and software giant Microsoft have joined hands to develop mobile solutions. The companies will develop Microsoft Office, business communications, collaboration and device management software for Nokia’s Symbian phones.
`Nokia Music Connects’, a day-long conference organised by Finnish handset major Nokia in association with Hong Kong-based Music Matters and Indian portal Indiatelevision.com’s subsidiary radioandmusic.com, will be held in Mumbai on August 26. The event will be held at The Taj Lands End.
