B K-led Spice Group has decided to merge its two entities – Spice Mobiles and Spice Televentures (STPL) – to create a Rs 2,000 crore telecom firm, Spice Mobility Ltd. The merger, an attempt to consolidate the group’s telecom businesses under a single brand, is subject to regulatory and shareholders’ approval.

Mobile handset manufacturer Spice Mobiles has launched Spice M-7070, a 5 Mega Pixel digital camera phone that also supports 30 FPS video recording. Spice M-7070’s 5 MP camera can capture images with perfect contrast and clarity upto a maximum limit of 9”x 6” prints from the phone, the company said in a statement.
