Tata DoCoMo has collaborated with Japanese telecom major NTT DoCoMo to launch Docomics in India. Docomics is a sequel to Tata Docomo’s recently announced m-comics, a service that enables consumers to read comics along with special effects like character vibration, sounds, zooming text bubbles over a mobile phone.
Tata DoCoMo and Canada-based Research In Motion (RIM) launched BlackBerry Curve 8520 smartphone. The handset is priced at Rs 14,990.
ItzCash Card Ltd, providers of multi purpose pre-paid cash card, has tied-up with Tata DoCoMo to facilitate mobile bill payments of the consumers. As per the Tata DoCoMo users can pay their mobile bills via SMS using an ItzCash card.
Tata DoCoMo has launched a recharge coupon – RCV 99 – which entitles the user to 500,000 seconds of on-net usage with a validity of a year.
Intensifying the tariff war in the country, Tata DoCoMo, the GSM brand of Tata Teleservices Ltd, has extended its per-second-billing scheme to roaming calls. Under the scheme subscribers will have to pay one paisa per second for calls made while roaming, irrespective of the network or type of phone the call is made to.
Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL) has added over 3.8 million subscribers in October, which helped it cross the 50-million subscriber mark. The achievement is all the more noteworthy as the nearest competitor managed to add just over 2.9 million subscribers in the same period, a gap of nearly 1 million subscribers, TTSL said in a statement.
Tata DoCoMo has launched an experience centre in Mumbai. The store was inaugurated by Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Limited (TTML) Managing Director Mukund Rajan and Bollywood actor Soha Ali Khan.
