Alcatel-Lucent has introduced a new radio module, based on software defined radio (SDR) technology, which gives mobile service providers the flexibility to support any mix services simultaneously. Using the technology, mobile operators can provide a mixture of services like 2G GSM, 3G W-CDMA/HSPA+ and long term evolution (LTE) among others.

The ‘Fifth 3G India 2009 International Conference’ has been scheduled to be held in Mumbai on October 23, 2009.
