Intensifying the tariff war in the country, Tata DoCoMo, the GSM brand of Tata Teleservices Ltd, has extended its per-second-billing scheme to roaming calls. Under the scheme subscribers will have to pay one paisa per second for calls made while roaming, irrespective of the network or type of phone the call is made to.
Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL) has added over 3.8 million subscribers in October, which helped it cross the 50-million subscriber mark. The achievement is all the more noteworthy as the nearest competitor managed to add just over 2.9 million subscribers in the same period, a gap of nearly 1 million subscribers, TTSL said in a statement.
